From Monday September 24 to Friday September 28, 2018, the Regional Civil Protection Organization (ORPC) of Valavran was engaged on five construction sites, located in the municipalities of Versoix, Genthod and Céligny.
The bridge over the Brassu stream, near the Céligny cemetery, has undergone an almost complete facelift. The floor has been redone, while the guardrails and stringers have been refreshed. The height of the bridge was also reduced by four centimeters by planing its stringers. The length has also been reduced by twelve centimeters. All these elements have also been varnished. Under the command of David Galley, the troops also built a temporary bridge, a little downstream, in order to maintain the passage over the stream. At the same time, the stream was cleaned of its largest waste – mainly natural – probably carried by storms. Several cable winches, different woodworking tools, ropes, shovels and picks were used on this site. Also note the indispensable help of Joël, who actively participated in this project by bringing his knowledge of carpentry.
