On September 25 and 26, 2017, the Regional Civil Protection Organization (ORPC) of Valavran intervened on seven construction sites in the municipalities of Chambésy, Genthod and Versoix.
Gobé construction site
The Gobé project consisted of the restoration of the walking path. New stabilized soil was laid and flattened with a compactor. The handrails were also sanded and the steps were rebalanced and protected from water flows coming from the upstream stop. Finally, the edges of the path below were reinforced and leveled to avoid any separation from the ground with the Gobé footbridge. The footbridge indeed represented a danger for walkers. The trail is now clean and fully usable by everyone.
Mission of Cuba
The Cuba Mission project consisted of the installation of a barrier at the edge of the forest. The work was perfectly executed.
Foretaille
The Foretaille project consisted of cleaning the drainage systems in the forest in order to facilitate the flow of water on the walking paths. These drains had filled with earth and leaves over the seasons and no longer fulfilled their mission. Two of these wooden channels have been completely replaced.
