The mission was received on 07.05.2020 and started the same day.
It consisted of:
- Maintain fluidity on the Valavran road due to the heavy traffic at the recycling center since its reopening and the limitation of three vehicles at the same time on the site
- Manage access to Chemin des Chânats which leads to the recycling center
The reopening of recycling centres in the canton of Geneva was expected to attract many visitors, particularly at the Chânats site. At the request of the cantonal police, ORPC Valavran deployed four civil protection members to manage the flow of visitors while enforcing the site’s limit of three vehicles.
