Transmissions were active from 0630 to 1800 during the week and from 0700 to 1800 on Saturday.
Although not linked to a particular mission, the Telematics field was essential. It was a real help and communication service not dependent on traditional telephone operators.
Constant adaptation
Due to the particular situation, the domain had to adapt every day to the missions that ORPC Valavran had to fulfill. He thus had to “juggle” with the 24 available radios. It was necessary to prioritize the drivers (to know where they were) and certain strategic positions.
With the troop moving to Colombières, it was necessary to rebuild the entire networks in a short time. In particular for access to the internet and to the ORPC Valavran servers as well as the radio structure. Similar work was also carried out during the trip to the parish center. Note that the radio network is connected to all ORPCs in the canton. Arrivals at the structure in the morning as well as exits were communicated to the latter.
Communication Log
In order to be able to know at any time where the people equipped with a radio were located and for what mission they were working, intense work was carried out in keeping a communications log. This also allowed us to leave a trace of requests received by radio.
